My desire is for HeartWork to be a collaboration. I have many gifted friends who have already been part of birthing this work. As HeartWork evolves, some of them will be showing up here.
HeartWork – I have been deeply inspired by the “wholehearted” work of Brené Brown in her book, The Gifts of Imperfection and Peter Block’s Six Conversations. This led me to create the HeartWork conversation series to invite others into the transformational possibilities of this book and the a small group conversations.
In collaboration with my friend, Margaret Rahn, we offered the first HeartWork intro conversation on February 11, 2012 at Mary Barr Rhodes art gallery. It was a perfect day. Eighteen women showed up and engaged, took risks, dared greatly. I was blown away by the response. I had a bit of a vulnerability hangover afterwards.
In November 20, 2011, in collaboration with my friend, Suzanne Daigle, I co-hosted a Global Conversation on the book, The Gifts of Imperfection. You can read more about that event here. Over 500 people registered after Brené Brown posted our invitation on her blog. This 2+ hour conversation with others who have been inspired by the book was shockingly successful. People from all over the world: USA, Canada, and 30 other countries engaged in small group conversations. This event contained many fun elements, including breaking into small groups virtually, graphic recorders going from one virtual small group to another – capturing the essence of the conversations in drawings, doodles, and words.
And, Brené Brown showed up to share why this Global Conversation was important to her.
All this has inspired me to believe the world is hungry for the conversations of the power of wholehearted living. I’ll be offering both live workshops and virtual events. Sign up for our email/newsletter list for updates.
